Our Reblocking solutions provides stability
Reblocking is also called restumping, it is the replacement of old existing stumps (usually wooden) with new durable concrete stumps. Timber stumps have traditionally been used as the support for weatherboard homes, brick veneer homes and for the floors only in a solid brick house. Restumping is done by jacking up the floor to the original levels and removes the old defective stumps (sole plate must be removed) and put the new durable concrete stumps in place. Wooden stumps have a life expectancy of around 40 years (35 to 50 years) depending on soil movement, moisture and drought conditions and infestation.
